To go along with the At the Movies series we ran this past summer at Inland Hills, we needed a lobby experience that could function in several capacities:
- A photo backdrop for guests
- A video backdrop for promo and educational segments
- An engaging promotional piece for the series, and each individual film
Inspired by a run down 50’s era movie theater marquee in my home town of Auburn, NY, I concepted and designed a 15 foot long theater facade and marquee along with Erik Gunderson of Ivar’s Displays. The facade was built in 4 sections and assembled inside of the lobby leading into the auditorium. The top was adorned with the inland hills logo, and the marquee and poster frames shifted weekly to celebrate and promote upcoming events.
